Halos Mandarins Frozen Smoothie Pops are a better way to "eat" your breakfast smoothie, have a refreshing pick-me-up or enjoy an after-school snack.
This is a compensated post on behalf of Halos Mandarins.
A tangy breakfast smoothie with mandarins, bananas and mangos or strawberries and yogurt, flaxseed and other healthy ingredients are delicious frozen in popsicle molds! Yep, that's what I'm saying – enjoy your breakfast – or a snack in popsicle form. How fun is that?
Kids will love eating their snack as a popsicle. It feels more like a treat for sure. And even better, you can enjoy one of these as breakfast--you’ll never miss the sugar and it's loaded with healthy flax and protein-packed yogurt!
I love using fresh citrus while it's in season, and Wonderful Halos are still juicy and ripe November through May. For me they are pure goodness and my go-to fruit snack. When I'm not snacking on these seedless little mandarins, I even mix them into dessert or savory recipes.
Halos Mandarins Frozen Smoothie Pops are so easy to make you can get the kids involved in cooking! It's a fun activity to do together.
There's no added sugar in these smoothie pops. Some sweetener from the vanilla yogurt, but you could also swap this for plain yogurt and the sweet fruit would still shine through. As we head in to warmer months, frozen smoothie pops are a delicious, healthy spring and summertime snack.
To make these fruity snacks I simply blended fresh and frozen fruit together with flax seeds (for fiber and heart-healthy Omega-3s) and yogurt. You literally make a smoothie! Easy!
I add a few extra Halos segments to the freezer pop molds when I pour in the smoothie. That way there are beautiful segments frozen on the edges of the pops and they're delicious to bit into.
You can freeze them into pops in just about any mold. I keep my classic molds on hand like these:
There are all sorts of fun shapes for molds, and you may have your favorites already. I am absolutely loving these new silicon pop molds because they make your frozen treats into little push pops without the drippy mess. The Halos Mandarins frozen smoothie pops would be great in these! Plus no sticks needed!
Get the kids involved. They are more likely to eat what they help cook, we all know that! And the little mandarins are so easy to peel, your 3 year old can do it. My niece and nephews were digging in to Halos the moment their little 2 year old minds realized there was sweet goodness inside of that peel! They can peel the banana, add fruit to the blender, and of course taste along the way.

Hey Tara! I'm tooling around the internet stopping by and saying hello to other bloggers attending EFC in a few weeks! I love the look of these pops! I think my son would love helping me make them. Great way to get some healthy stuff in that kid. Hope to meet you at the conference!

My visiting (NYC) granddaughter LOVES these. And then I served one to my 89 year old mother who never eats desserts while the rest of us had chocolate cake. She ate every bite
