Curry Crab Dip will delight your guests as they dip veggies, apples or crackers. The mild flavor of crab meat, creamy mayo and the freshness of lemon make a happy dip.

Crab dip with crackers, veggies, fruit on white tray

Such a tasty, crowd-pleasing dip for a crowd. Whether you have family coming over for a holiday or throwing a brunch or shower, this curried crab dip adds loads of flavor and class!

    What's in crab dip?

Crab dips typically have mayo and others creams and cheeses. However, I like to keep mine simple and let the curry and crab do the talking. Below are the ingredients:

    • 1 lb lump crab meat
    • 6 teaspoon mayonnaise
    • 1 ½ teaspoon curry powder
    • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 3 tablespoon sliced scallions

Curried crab dip, although unique in flavor, is versatile and goes well with any kind of dipper.

How to make homemade crab dip:

    • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir gently to combine
    • Transfer to dip bowl and top with 1 tablespoon scallions
    • Serve immediately or chill, covered, until ready to serve

Yep, that's it. Throwing the ingredients together and voila, you have your new favorite dip.

What curry powder should you use?

Curry powder is a much-loved, and much-used blend of up to 20 widely varying different herbs and spices based on South Asian cuisine. With the wide range of the curries you can purchase, you will have a pleasant journey as you find the one you love!

What to serve with curried crab dip

Just about everything you can find as a "dipper" goes well with my Curried Crab Dip. But be warned, you might have a hard time leaving the table (unless you just bring the dip bowl with you). My personal favorite dippers are assorted crackers, cherry tomatoes and apples.

    More dips for your party:

    The New 7-Layer Dip

    Caramelized Onion Bacon Dip

    Grilled Zucchini Baba Ganoush

    Tangy Avocado Cream

Let me know what your favorite dippers are for Curried Crab Dip!
